Cargo ports as the name suggests are ports that manage the cargo accordingly. The amenities available for the cargo differ from one port to the other. Cargo ports are also known as “Bulk ports”, “Break-bulk ports” or “Container ports”.
The cargo ports include many mechanical techniques to load or unload the shipment. These ports are designed to handle different types of cargo/items. These cargo/items include liquid fuels, chemicals food grains, timber, machines and automobiles.
The above-mentioned items are mostly handled in bulk ports whereas container ports handle containerized cargo or cargo in containers. Sometimes we have all-in-one ports that not only handles specific shipments but can manage all kinds of cargoes in a single port.
